A performance of sound and movement

Inspired by the stereo essence of their common instrument, the accordion, performers Artemis Vavatsika and Periklis Siountas explore the multiple dimensions of the polarization of two bodies at a distance. The identity of the two accordions shifts from musical instrument to scenic object, with visual and theatrical dimensions. Oppositions set in motion the narrative of two bodies attempting to communicate through sound and movement—though not always successfully. Their distance is evident, as is their pressing need to connect.
