Τhis year, the fourth sequential year of ‘’REEDBLOCKS’’ Festival finds society and art on a crossroad. In order to gaze into the future,
we turned to the past and musical roots of accordion in our country.
We honor Lazaros Koulaxizis the last living member of the Koulaxizis family, the most important link in the history of the accordion in Greece,
with a dedicated concert performed by Dimos Vougioukas, who is one of the major representatives of the accordion in Greek traditional music scene.
We welcome Claudio Jacomucci and Simone Zanchini, two of the most influential and creative Italian soloists of our generation, who explore and expand the accordion art borders, by combining original creations with the past and tradition of classical and jazz music.
From the 24th to 26th of September 2021, we invite all past visitors and anyone
who wishes to discover the mystical and charming side of the accordion.
‘’REEDBLOCKS’’ 4th International Accordion Festival’s concerts, seminars and workshops
will take place at Aneton theatre, Horodentro and the Museum of Byzantine Culture.
The Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture.
