Alexander technique
Workshop for every musician and singer, with special applications in the accordion technique

The Alexander Technique aims to help the musician manage his/her energy more constructively. Familiarity with
the principles of the Technique and their application on a daily basis lead to the creation of a clearer picture
of the state of the body with a significant effect on the quality of the practice. Participants will get to know
the basic principles of the Technique through introductory activities and live examples, while there will be
more specific reports on the application of the Technique on the Accordion.
The seminar is open to accordionists and other musicians of any level.
Participants are advised to bring an individual Yoga mat.

BIOGRAPHY
Stelios Katsatsidis is a musician and teacher of Alexander Technique. From 2007 to 2011 he attended private Alexander Technique courses by Vicky Panagiotaki in Athens. He started his training as a teacher of Alexander Technique in 2011 at the school "Center for the Alexander Technique" in London with Ellie and Peter Ribeaux, where he graduated in 2014. He took private lessons and seminars with Ted McNamara, Nelly Ben-Or, Alex Farkas, Avi Granit, Noam Renen, Shaike Hermelin, Dan Armon. He has taught at the Syros Accordion Festival, at SOAS World Summer Music School, at Harrow Music Service. He is a member of the Alexander Technique Teachers Association in England (STAT) and teaches in Athens. He studied accordion with Iraklis Vavatsikas at the F. Nakas Conservatory in Athens.
